In our local runoff for Precinct 4 Commissioner we had an excellent turnout and a close race.
We had 567 people vote in the Pct 4 runoff down from 687 in the March Primary, a drop of 120. Getting 82.5% of the primary voters to show up for the runoff is outstanding and testament to how hard both candidate worked. In a typical runoff we would be lucky to get 60% to vote the second time around.
Yesterday evening the race started our very close with Keith Kridler leading by one vote in the early voting in person. However Jimmy Parker got more votes on election day and won by 306 to 261 votes.
Jimmy slightly increased his votes from the primary from 302 to 306, successfully avoiding the complacency that can affect the the front runner from a primary. Jimmy had particularly strong showing in Chapel Hill.
Keith made a strong showing increasing his primary vote of 185 by 76 to 261 but this was not enough to beat Jimmy.
Lets all get behind Jimmy and work towards helping him see off democrat Paul Lindsey in November and make Jimmy the first ever Republican to represent Precinct 4.

Attached PDF shows a summary and detail for the four boxes in Precinct 4.
PS Titus County was the most pro Ralph Hall county. Unfortunately Ralph did not get close to getting 60% of the votes in any other county.
